Quite a number of players have no idea how programming works, what pcode is, how code gets loaded into memory, etc.   — which shouldn’t be surprising given the number of players in the world versus the number of real programmers (note:  I define “real” as those who understand compute models — not how to simply write a script).

When to use Windows encryption is basic knowledge of common Windows user and if you are recommending it in public forum, you must know more than nothing about it. Encrypting WoT folder is completely useless because for any Windows application (including WoT client), these encrypted files are fully transparent as if they are not encrypted. You use encryption to protect your data from other users and when your HDD is stolen.

now imagine they are letting banned players start new accounts up and keeping all prem tanks and gold , no need to grind through shit tank lines as i already know what tanks i want and like so can just grind to them.

no need to spend any more money on the game at all you can just credit farm for a few days to finance your account for months. and to be honest once you have had your fill of higher tiers you quickly work out its the mid tiers that are the best to play at and you can be most effective , platoon three T29s together and get a massive winrate its not rocket science.

Yaaaaaay. WG has invited you to seal club. Bit sad that all your hard work crew training is lost though. 

Now change your in-game nick so that you don’t pop up on the cheaters mod and get reported for that.

im still curious , what about proving your guilt ? , dates , times , mods , etc … , what about contesting the ban / account wipe.

WG talk a lot about fair play , but they are the most unfair to their paying players !  

Im not interested if you did wrong  or not , im interested in that they have to prove you did wrong. or do they just pick random accounts and issue bans / wipes with absolute  impunity  ?

if this is so  , who is safe ? no one .  then do you as a player reading this want to invest so much time and effort just to be wiped out without so much as a “hearing” ?

if WG really are serious about this issue they will implement code that stop the game before login , if it detects ‘illegal’ mods .

WG – fair play ? really ? , I dont think so.

The term is “Data at Rest Encryption”.   Windows encryption (aka BitLocker) is applied to all files — even executables.  As you said, BitLocker protects the files **as they sit on disk**.  The Windows encryption subsystem de-crypts files on the fly as they are loaded into memory, leveraging the user credentials/key.  Once in memory — all is open to be inspected.

heres a little ditty

when they reset your account for “cheating”  at first its not as easy as it may seem , you retain all prem tanks bought or won or gifted by war gaming themselves , you loose all crews , and all non prem vehicles and all money apart from gold you already had and prem time you already had , so your sat with a garage with only prem tanks no crews and no money, it seems bleak at first until you realise all missions have been reset to zero (the ones that give you 50,000 for killing trees etc) , also any tier one tank from each nation comes with a 100% trained crew and of course are free.

i myself have four or five russian low tier light tanks that WG have gifted over the years so it was easy to get the MS1 and use the crew in each prem to quickly start knocking down the light tank missions, when i had enough money to buy a 75% crew i had to decide which of my better prems would get them, easy choice E-25 tier 7 all the way, i decided this would be my workhorse for grinding money to buy crews for my other prems , remember you dont have normal heavies or TDs when you start so cant use the crews from them in your prems, a week later and three million credits to the good i have three cammo nets three binos and three toolboxes all for basic layouts enough for every tank with the auto mount/demount mod.

i decided to grind down the german tree to around tier 6 reason is i like playing them and seem to do best with these tanks , i can then slowly get to the T-29 in the american line and go down the brit TD lines, this is my plan for the next few months.

what i have done is sworn not to buy any more gold or prem time , not to spend another penny on the game at all , i have played the game from the start and always with prem time , thats a lot of money for nothing.

anyway my dittym last night after a battle someone messaged me saying ” you make me laugh buy a over powered prem tank and sit back and base camp” ………tut tut , 

i was honest in my reply , i told him that my account was re rolled for cheating in ban wave two and had not bought the E-25 i had won it previously , and being it was the best way to grind credits at my disposal,

i had to eat humble pie and  play this style for a while, i also checked his account and lol IS6 , T34 ,  T54proto , etc etc calling over powered in deed the E25 is not over powered its over clocked

anyway i thought nothing of this , then this morning 1300 gold in my account  nice or what lol
