Some noticed patch 9.16 was a tad bigger than patches in the past. It included 2 very important additional items not mentioned in the release notes. It included a script that records file names in the RES_MODS folder. If a file by name or size that has previously been flagged as illegal is present the account gets flagged. After a review of the account the folks at WG can activate the second part. Once the mod is loaded it will ping the server to let them know a potential illegal mod is active in a random battle.
The server will ping back requesting a “sample”. Replay files are telemetry data only and can only be used to identify a very low range of mods. These “samples” are video recordings taken from your video output so they see what you see. If a sample is requested you may notice a temporary drop in FPS followed by a ping spike as the video is uploaded. By having video proof it allows WG to issue a ban without appeal as they have solid irrefutable evidence.any truth in this ?
13.11.2016 at 23:32 #110945soulzaParticipantit is illegal but not in the way you may first think , what if you were working on a mod that was legal but you intended to sell at a later date? highly unlightly i know but ask atari about where microsoft and bill gates got the idea for windows and a mouse from ? they can pull anything they like from your WOT game directory ANYTHING , but nothing out side of that directory , when i say pull they cant come into your pc but can request files from your wot directory that can then be sent like your python log ,everything else is complete bullshit on their part , the key wording is they can ban you without showing you why???? errrrm……. no you cant if you have paid a single penny towards the game you are entitled to certain rights , maybe not in soviet states but the game servers are in the USA and the EU so come under local laws not WG laws , consider torrent sites like the pirate bay , server is in Holland so comes under dutch law not USA or british law , this is how WOT NA and wot EU applies.
you buy a premium tank for life with real money you buy it as long as the game exists , its yours , they ban your account without showing you proof of why ? so you are not able to use said prem tank? nope!!!
or take this , you buy many prems , never use illegal mods , they ban your account without proof to you ? now is this ok with you ? of course its not , like i said it may apply in soviet states but not in the west , inoccent until proven , but they state they will not show you why you are guilty lol nope! nope! nope!
i suspect that if they did ban someone who was using illegal mods without proof ,and said person was a switched on cookie , he could play holly hell with them and would move to sue their asses off x this by a few hundred and they have a problem.
what will happen is this IF SOMEONE COMPLAINs about a player and accuse them of cheating , they will get looked into by pulling their python log ,thats it begining and end alpha and omega , only people who get banned are those who live stream or post screenshots/videos. i got banned once for using an illegal mod , i agreed but also mentioned did they not notice that the video was of a replay battle? i was testing a mod and didnt do it in a live battle i tested on a replay and video grabbed it , my ban was lifted without much fanfare and i got my prem time back.

15.11.2016 at 19:37 #110948blesavMemberGuys I have read only python.log from the beginning they started to use python in WoT. I had few bans only with red ball mod when I had to finish arty missions. Next was removing T-62 sport because autoaim mod. Think about it.
16.11.2016 at 13:00 #110949BobCMemberGuys, I had a recent issue for WOT. Python log was sent along with all the the other BS that they ask for. Today I received another reply and it goes like this:
Sorry blah blah blah but we see you are using Mods of some sort and removing them may stabilise your game.
I use a single Modpack and used the Python Log that is generated whilst using all the foresaid Mods. The fact that I am NOT banned suggests to me that WG is being selective in banning or they are using fear and intimidation to make you remove your Mods.
Soulzas Modpack stays in my res_mods and will not be getting removed. WG have just proven to me that Soulza is running a legitimate Modpack of which they have no qualms or concerns. I can only suggest that if you want to use Mods then perhaps this could be a pack for you.
Then again IMHO while trying to fix my previous issue I ran vanilla game for a few days with only the Speedtree Mod (Tundra) installed and was still thoroughly enjoying the game. So there is scope for Mod removal on a personal note.
Personally! I fear some of you are running scared so just imagine a set of traffic lights in front of you and they are at Green for Go!! I’m off to play with my Mods

This looks to be the main suspect.
Is there a way around this bugger ?

where is this file located , I cannot find it in my world of tanks folder ?
21.11.2016 at 23:01 #110953WargamingMemberLies. The program has the ability to track any mods.

No this is for you debugging., The program automatically even obfuscated mod find titles startup hook.
This is not circumvent. Do not believe what they write.
24.11.2016 at 12:13 #110955BobCMemberGuys. all this panic!!
I have already submitted a report to WG with a 100% blank python log and nothing was even mentioned as to why it is empty.
Too many worriers among you.

Stick to the one Modpack and you will be ok.
