up until last week i had the evga gtx 960 sc 4 gb ideal for mid range WOT player ,it could pull over 100 FPS with an I5 cpu and not even get warm, this is now in my grandsons pc upstairs as i went and bought the evga gtx 1060 sc 6 gb version

both cards look very alike , small form factor single fan ,but the 1060 is around 80% faster and after much research it came down to which model , out of all tests i looked at the evga sc smallest , cheapest card comes out on top , no backplate or flashing rgb lights just does the job it should , so for me if asked i would suggest the evga sc cards there are some good rx480s around also that should become cheaper now the rx 5 series have been released point to note the five series is a duffer , people have found you are able to flash the bios of rx 4 series cards with the rx 5 series bios , it then out performs the newer cards major amd ball drop.

also this week i read that nvidia has new set of cards coming at the end of the year ? i think this was announced to combat the rx 5 series release  ,so the release date may get put back to 2018 as there is no need to release them as i mentioned above 5 series are duffers , people are posting OC results for rx5 cards in HEAVEN BENCHMARK and my 1060 is out performing most of them.

ONLY THE NA servers have the patch atm ,the aimbot is developed on the EU servers so common sense tells you it cant be updated by auther just yet as EU have not had the patch

when this first started we said that wargaming will not bite the hand that feeds them , after what is it six months these ban waves will die down to nothing , money is everything and oddly enough if a player is willing to pay for cheat mods , he will have no problem spending money in game , they will adopt the rough with the smooth , cheats = game stays afloat , ban cheats = game dies

the final days of this build………………….in 24 hours my new evga 1060 sc arrives  why only a 1060 you ask ? well this is sort of linked the the graphics card topic i started , i have a samsung 27inch curved monitor and native res is 1920×1080

seen as i do everything in the 1080 res including tanks , and am not going 4k monitor any time soon (will go three 1080s) there is no reason what so ever to pay the extra cash for a 1070 or 1080 , the super clocked 1060 is by far best bang for buck if your running in 1080 , fanboys do go out and buy the 1080s but the way that card is at the moment its faster than 99.9% PCs so you will bottleneck somewhere unless you have the supporting hardware , its common sense that not many people apply when buying parts for their pcs, look at it this way , you buy a 4k monitor but have a gtx 950 graphics card ???? it will work but not as it should.

the other reasons I went for the evga SC version as at the moment i have the evga gtx 960 sc version installed and if you look this card is still holding its price pretty well today due to the fact it is a very good mid gaming card and will fit into small form factor builds ,the 1060 sc version looks the same and is the same dimensions , it also comes out on top of the tests for 1060s fps wise , noise and temps. no bells and whistles like backplate or RGB lighting , slot it in and let it do its job.

I am just in the middle of making a backplate for the new 1060 and waiting for paint to dry before next coat lol , you cant see backplate on the 960 very well in pics below but there are better pics else where in this thread. going to benchmark the rest of the afternoon with the 960 and  store results then benchmark tomorrow with the new card installed.

get a program like font viewer or paint.net then you are able to see what each font looks like CREATE A BLANK CANVAS IN PAINT.NET now type qwerty all through your keyboard , now just change the font to see the results

its to do with different versions of the same fonts , xvm font has like 4 versions , the problems occur because you will have a version of a font installed in WINDOWS that over rides the fonts supplied by xvm

 

in the above example is this line

  “lost”: “<font face=’xvm’ size=’24’>&#x70;</font>”,

&#x70 this is the unicode hex for the letter “P” which in xvm font = i dont know because i dont have it

in my own config i use 

 “lost”: “<font face=’xvmsymbol’ color=’#FF002F’ size=’23’>#</font>”,

no unicode or hex just simple letter off keyboard ,i also use the xvmsymbol font to display these items

its just an info post to say that the 3rd slot for that tank has been populated it is from a auto equip mod , but seen as you run xvm this is already active

when you reformat with win7 you need to have all your drivers handy especially your network card driver , you then have to install all the drivers , networking can be a pain with admin rights and work groups etc. wn10 just takes these away,

on install it will install all your drivers for you some may be generic but you are good to go after install , after using it a while i would not go back to wn7 i thought i would but was on my sons pc other day that has wn7 and it just didnt feel right any more.
