There was a “re-balancing” in credits earned in some tanks.  I cant remember which ones – some went up, some went down.  The actual values was in the 9.18 change notes.

My issue has been ping times on the NA EAST server.  I know you dont have an account there anymore, sorry to hear that.

What I have identified is a network device that is sitting in the NA EAST path and its IP address is out of a block of IP’s that is owned/controlled by WG and that device sits right in front of the WOT EAST server farm.  This particular device is adding about 30ms to response times — and strangely, when I open a ticket they eventually manage to eliminate that device from the path — only to have that device show up 24 hours later.

    Makes one wonder.

BTW, this only started right after the 9.17.1 final micro-patch.

Spotted tank markers, if you are building from the default config files, are in the PlayersPanel.xc using the {{spotted}} macro.  What the {{spotted}} macro displays is determined by the definition in texts.xc.

I have used windows since 95 and hand on heart once you do a slight tayloring job on wn10 it is without doubt the fastest, cleanest version to date , also many will tell you very few errors etc. it really is idiot proof.

wn8 put a lot of people off upgrading same with vista both lets be honest fucking shit upgrades , i hatted windows 8 with a vengence , to touchy feely for me looked like a tablet desktop.

also windows 10 is free (cough cough wink wink) and you can get many custom versions if you really look around. i just use 10 pro and download and install this program,

    http://www.classicshell.net/

this shell turns off all those stupid tiles , and reverts the start menu down to windows 7 , i always use this and it makes me think i am still using windows 7 be it a super clocked version.

you can download a little program that auto turns off windows updates if you wish but i leave them on and have never had a problem.

Classic shell was a gift for Win8 and 8.1, now for Win10.

I can tell you the only issue I have run into is corrupted Win10 user profiles.  Seems to happen more often under 10.  There is no fix, except to create a new local profile then move content to that profile.  At least, I havent been able to find a fix.

So the short answer is — for any skill, there is an accumulation across ALL crew members and it is a general good practice to have all crew with a common skill set dependent on class of tank (ie., all with REPAIRS, all with CAMO, all with BIA, etc.) where those skills are none-crew-type specific (ie., the commander, gunner, etc all can have repair/camo/bia).   The difference comes when you start really specializing with SKILLS and PERKS that are crew-specific.  Example, Commander is the only one who can have Mentor, or the Gunner SnapShot.

So, I generally bulk up on the common skills first, then start specializing.  QuickyBaby has a very nice set of videos that not only walk through this but he also provides recommendations on the order of skills for each tank type and crew member types.

    Helpful?

Bob, look in res_mods/0.9.17.1/gui/flash for a file “debugpanel.swf”.   If you have one there, open it with JPEXS and you will see Sprites that show the colored indicators.  I’ve attached the one I use (from Harpoon) that does a similar thing.

BTW, the default WOT debugpanel (found in gui.pkg under “res”) looks like:

    Xr+Grse6rud4DfiCoJIAoEIlAUCFSgKACpUEABUq

    debugPanel.swf
