Yeah that is stupid.  WG is based in Cyprus and has legal professional who do their terms.  They know what is legal in the countries they operate, this is not something written by a kid in his bedroom.  These terms are well vetted and are common.

This is from the EU TOS – You get credit for unused gold and premium time that is all.

    13. Suspension and Closure of Your Account / Termination of these Terms of Service

    Termination for Cause

13.2 If such a termination for cause is prompted by a breach of a contractual obligation under these Terms of Service from our side, you are entitled to (i) a refund for any payments made by you for Gold that at the time of termination has not been used by you in exchange for other Virtual Goods; and (ii) a pro-rata refund of payments for any premium membership active for your Account at the time of termination. Other than that, you will not be entitled to any refunds or compensation.

and they sell your premiums to someone else

saw this somewhere else…dont know if its true………….

Some noticed patch 9.16 was a tad bigger than patches in the past. It included 2 very important additional items not mentioned in the release notes. It included a script that records file names in the RES_MODS folder. If a file by name or size that has previously been flagged as illegal is present the account gets flagged. After a review of the account the folks at WG can activate the second part. Once the mod is loaded it will ping the server to let them know a potential illegal mod is active in a random battle.
The server will ping back requesting a “sample”. Replay files are telemetry data only and can only be used to identify a very low range of mods. These “samples” are video recordings taken from your video output so they see what you see. If a sample is requested you may notice a temporary drop in FPS followed by a ping spike as the video is uploaded. By having video proof it allows WG to issue a ban without appeal as they have solid irrefutable evidence.
