In my opinion for u the best and simple way is uninstalling WoT. 
After that install fresh and beauty WoT client SEA. U will be sure that u dont have different mods/folders/files and empty python.
Next install BW (use installer for BW – Apollo sent u this one), check and tell us if will be ok/wrong.

If u don’t want to re-install game use WMcleaner and clear %temp% folder. Install BW and let me know if ur problem will be solved.

Only thing you need to save is “preference.xml”. Game should run fine after that.

WIN + R  –> %temp% and clear this folder too

I’ll give you an example.

WOT its a type of sport, like a cycling. When you started, you didn’t use supplements. You just did it. 
Next level: you’re better than amateur so you need some support, like isotonic drink/nutrition because you want to be better.
Next one: Your body performance is max but you don’t want to stop, you want to be better, you don’t have “quality gene”/unique talent so you decide to take… doping. Yeaa Mate…
But it’s not guarantee of success but increase your chances. There is always risk. Especially if you’ll be stand out (aimbot, you mark the target and you aiming and aiming and aiming… its only an example but you know what I mean..)
What percentage of people will be caught on doping? Small… 
History of Lance Armstrong…. Never banned, he admitted himself.
BW Mods are safe and it’s true. Others… I don’t know… maybe yes, maybe no. 
WG doesn’t check randomly. Behavior on battle is main reason, this factor causes you will be checked and in the worst case banned.

You’re right but as you wrote “we are all grown-ups (well, lets say most of us ), and we can all live with the danger” so we have awareness of risk which is very small (In life, only death is certain). 
WG published legal mods list and if you use other (not only hard cheats)  you have a chance for ban. Many people on forum will tell you how long they use mods without problems and it is true but small percentage can be detected but I want to ask: ONLY BW its a reason?
I assume that everyone in the forum read forum rules and guidelines but I will remaind you 4th point, last sentence:
“Black wot.com is not responsible for your WG account(s) being banned. By using illegal mods you accept this risk of your account getting banned by WG. Any illegal mod downloaded from this website/forum Carrys that risk. “

I hope that incident will never repeat and I wish this for all.

Acc 1: BW Mods + B4it + some separated mods = Never banned

Acc 2: SAE + Helpics + some separated mods = Never banned

Acc 3: ZJ’s Mods + XVM = Currently no bans (fresh acc)

Too big and too advanced forum and modification creators… Too many happy users…. U can be sure if u use only checked mods from here it will be safe..
