I think there is a program to skin. If I’m not wrong…. you can even do it in paint. Soulza knows this stuff.

A_TrollMemberSpeedtree and tundra do the same thing Bob.
I am sure that it got worse after 1.0. I really struggle to see edges of rocks and houses if another rock/house is behind.
I tried playing with the contrast this morning and it didn’t really help. I will try with colour saturation tomorrow.

Try changing contrast settings or if you have an old monitor get one with better resoloution.
A_TrollMemberThat’s a lot of work. gg Hawg.

A_TrollMemberI was getting a 10 fps drop just using xvm without lots of scripted mods so I gave up because I was getting “hacky” replays. The return to garage and battle loading were longer too.
It got better with Havoc but I got used to not using XVM. PF battle stats worked better so I stuck with that. I did try Hawgs pack and I liked it but XVM had already pissed me off.
I know CuntyBollox had a nightmare with XVM because he has a slow PC. His battle loading times were about 10 – 20 secs after battle start. Now without XVM and with Havoc he loads at about 10 secs before counter 0. (Yeah, he has a new custom rig on it’s way).
It’s a shame that all the love Hawg puts in the pack is not stand-alone. Maybe Soulza can write a new XVM. 😀
Another thing that would be fun to discuss is the rumours…… (I say rumours because I have not managed to recreate this)……….
It is said that Korean Random collects data on installed mods in your client. (Note…. this is NOT a reference to sniffer mods, that is something else).
Can they? Do they? I have no idea……. but….. it has been said convincingly on other sites. So….. IF they collect data…. What do they need it for?
I’m sure the tin-foil hat brigade would love this but no-one has yet said “Yes they do” or “No they don’t”. They just say “They CAN”. So…. my question is…… what use could that data be to KR? Collection of mod data could not help XVM to work better and it’s not needed for an installer.
Maybe (if they do collect data) it was a good idea for the future when they developed that function, but in that case, why not remove that function because it is not used (and should not be used). Anything in XVM that is not used…….. eats fps. Is the base code so complicated that no-one can optimise it any more?
A_TrollMember9 hours ago, BobC said:It appears that it works with or without XVM.
It does?
A_TrollMemberI tried Hawgs pack and it is pretty damn good. I’m amazed at the stuff he picked out that no-one even tried before. Some of them are really “can’t do without”. Kudos.
I wish XVM was not so clunky or I would use Hawgs pack all the time. Damn Korean Random and Yaaaaaaay Hawg.
A_TrollMemberDid it again. Same message.
A_TrollMemberAlready did. It does not happen often.
