what i did notice on the test server is the sounds are deffo assigned to a separate core so the sound issues have been resolved , however i also noticed
(sorry no screenshot) that there are a few more sound settings to tweak now in the ingame menu , like headphones/speakers , dynamic/narrow/wide
for me personally wargaming are so intent on producing HD models of each tank every patch they fail to realise that many people dont give a toss about the greater detail ,
if it puts a strain on your game you generally dont like it , they had to change the sounds and in 9.15 you will see why they have ,you will gain fps.

But you are free of that now. Your GPU will preload textures so yo ucan make any static thing on high quality. The only thing SOulza our AMD`s are limited to are the physics stuff. Terrain really affects FPS as well as anything that moves that isnt a preloaded graphic like sparks. Those are just simple streams you access but the CPU has the job of texturing the entire games skelekton.
So, you can do things now with Hight textures high foiledge quality etx. But bump down the View Range. This will make your game pretty and fast.
Use High textures for everything and high LOD. But anything where your comp has to render Hi def stuff from wired angles or make moving parts, it wil lbog down.

Here is a link to my processor that is Great water-cooled and overclocked to stable 4,7 Ghz. My Monitor runs at 144 Mhz, the rest of my setup is posted earlier today ! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113346

Cool, so even though this got higher marks in Crysis games than even I7`s, in WOT it is still below a I5. Good news is 4.7 GHZ is screaming fast.
You just need to make sure no other programs are running as this kills AMDs. They try to balance the load equally so they will always share the cores with WOT unless you Lasso it liek I said. So please go set the affinitys as I said and tell me how it is.

(Sorry, you know I am just kidding about the Schmuck thing — just sounded funny).
We had a briefing from Intel and they have already surpassed AMD again. All of the gains regarding L2/L3/L4 cache is out the door — they are releasing CPU’s that now have all of that memory PLUS DRAM sitting on the CPU, not using a memory controller and therefore not incurring any of the overhead. In addition, they are making disk (SSD) IO directly addressable by the CPU, again bypassing a block controller (ie., a disk controller).
I fear, my friend, that AMD jsut no longer has what it takes. I have numerous friends here in Austin that work(ed) at AMD and they keep laying off the chip designers. CPU’s are no longer making them money — only the GPU’s. They were even dumb enough (like Freescale) to spin off the Memory group — and guess who is making tons of cash making solid state memory??? Not AMD.
I will pray for your CPU-soul to return to the Intel-light. Go toward the light, go toward the light, go toward ……………..
17.05.2016 at 21:23 #109931soulzaParticipantthe realistic thing is this , i have a quad core and i also have a six core for day to day stuff these rock ,they were built with multi tasking in mind,
world of tanks runs on a single core , so i would sumise an old athalon would run the game smoother than a multi core setup
17.05.2016 at 21:27 #109932kupjonesMemberYeah, we ran all AMD’s at Freescale for chip design simulations — they did kill the Intel’s at that time. And we all know WOT was written for the old procs — and the current stable of CPU’s are really optimized for 64bit code ……

I hate Intel with a passion, although I would be crazy to say they wernt the top dog. Intel are the biggest bullies on gods earth. They have bought and suppressed so much tech its ridiculous. I hope they get outed one day doing there shady deals and they collapse.
AMD better keep making stuff as its literally the entire reason why Intel doesnt charge 700$ for a old I7.
I know the L2 L3 cache is all in one part in the next gen, that was the HBM link I posted.
So while Intel will still use DDR 4, no matter how many controllers they use the distance will be 100 of times further still.
But a perfect example of AMD making Intel have to brng down cost is there GPU`s. They came and beat Invidia badly. 960 which was less powerful than the 380 ATI was more expensive by 40$. So buying a 980 card was a 500$ affair.
Well look what happend, Intel is now selling a card that is faster than the fastest card out now costing 900$ for 349 next year. All because AMD schooled them.
So even for you Intel lovers, AMD is a must.
Explain how Intel is going to have the advantage? AMD has Hyperthreading in its next design and from a engineer standpoint, HBM will be faster than anything with normal ram or cache. And while I thought this was going to be more hype, I read reviews from guys who were intel lovers, and when they see the HBM and new CPU stuff even they are impressed. Also, Intel is losing badly in the CPU economy market.
Think about this. For Crysis or Battlefield or any other solid Multicore game. For 170$ I can buy a chip that runs 120 FPS at max settings, rather than paying 400 or 500 for a I7. Yes the I7 is better, but I cant tell the diff in those games TBH. I have seen many comparisons and TBH the CPU means little at there levels, it all comes down to the GPU. Even WOWS runs amazingly fast compare to WOT.
Price per performance isnt even close. Esp since the guys who buy these unlocked AMD`s are getting 6 ghz overclocks which does blow the doors off anything but a 5ghz I7. All for 170 $..Lol
Pretty awesome, even if AMD is in trouble. Also I think in the next 10 years CPU/GPU will become the same. I think we will buy APU`s that are powerful enough for everthing. Especially with HBM. TBH HBM should have come long ago, but Intel being the pack leader and the bully gets to set the pace

18.05.2016 at 01:05 #109935soulzaParticipantahh been on test server this evening , i had to redownload client due to reformat of hard drive last week ,
I found i was getting fps dips again , so put my engine_config.xml in and it didnt work to well ,so i opened up and did an edit on the 9.15 engine_config.xml and can honestly say game is running on medium settings with shadows etc, and i am pulling between 120-100 fps at fecking last
this is with xmap disabled but hp in players panels enabled , fps do drop to around 80 when in fire fight but finally full xvm at a great frame rate ,
not FPS top left

Your monitor is only 60 hz right? If so anything higher is a waste and you want it to look better for those 20 extras.
BTW SHadows are very hard on CPU, In fact you could probably run WOT on high with no shadows on

Ok I did. Im not seeing how they are ahead. AMD is doing the same stuff. By using the HBM they are building all the memory on the chip with no controller as well. Also they will have Hyperthreading with 14mn.
Im just not sure they will be much better next time [Gen] and infact if AMD Bulldozer used Hyperthreading it would have been far superior as the cores in the AMD are so much better at working together.
Basically the Zen CPU is bringing the best Intel has and the best AMD has. I think AMD knew this was make it or break it time, and while there CPU is much better in cost/Performance, they realized they still needed something to compete with the I7 even if it cost 300$. It wil lstill be 200$ cheaper.
