How would any application run if everything was encrypted, apps could not read their own files. Once an application is running, Windows will automatically un-encrypt any files the application needs. Encryption is transparent to apps running in windows. As for locking the python log, if it makes you feel better go for it, that also make no difference, and the game just reads from memory.
