I found this last night as well but it looks harmless.

I did find more articles on how the Ace Tanker event mod that people downloaded from WG was suspected to be the snitch.

Oh and for the record…

1. Status : Not Banned
2. Legal mod : A couple of course
3. Pack mod: Apollo’s recently, Before I would put my own together with a simple installer for me and my friends
4. Cheats: Everything but the ZJ stuff TBH
5. Server: NA
6. Protected clean python log among other files I’ve cleaned and encrypted, also removed the updater just in case as well.

You’re right. I forgot about that. It’s been a while since i’ve cared to see a replay. Although, if WG staff were to review your replay and you were using an aimbot i’m sure it’d be easily noticed if a user was abusing it. Can never be too safe bro.

I totally agree with you 100%. People just need to police their WOT folder and stop spending $$$$.

Some more advice:

• Delete the updater.
• Did you download the “ace tanker” mod? If you did and you’re banned now, guess what you owe that ban to…
• Encrypt your replays folder or do the same as you did with you python log. Erase all contents within it, prevent anything from writing to it, and lock the folder (make it read only).

I personally typed F**k you. Eat s**t. with a nice picture to clear up confusion within my replay and python log.

Just read this on a diff forum…

1. Aimbot users getting detected (feedback data I guess, if client can fetch server sights it can send it back too, changing weakspots etc.). I dunno what he’s getting at here. Maybe not playing with the server reticle would counter act this but I doubt that WG is doing this. The rest seems possible…
2. WG’s “Ace Tanker” mod for event is a local spyware. (http://worldoftanks.eu/en/content/soft/top-tankers-mod/) But that was something to be expected, WG wouldn’t wipe their butts after a toilet visit if it wasn’t for the smell afterwards, so creating a mod from scratch for time-limited event was suspicious.
3. P0LIR0ID whistleblowed (sold) his database to WG. That explains why amount of bans on RU is so disproportionate to other servers.

I don’t know who this P0LIR0ID guy is but I’m assuming he’s a mod developer. If this guys statement is true it would make a hell of a whole lot of sense.
