    ALL READY FOR 1.1.x

Added an XVM Config version identifier on the login screen.  Now you know if you are running mine (or not!)

Submitted is my adaption of several XVM configs into what works for me.  The config eliminates certain things and includes certain things, but in a nutshell you get:

    1. Minimap

      1. HP Circles for Ally and Enemy (see screenshot).  These use fonts and the mechanism is explained at <a href="/index.php?/topic/520-hp-circles-on-minimap-explained/” rel=””>https://www.blackwot.com/index.php?/topic/520-hp-circles-on-minimap-explained/
      2. Last known position of the enemy plus their last known HP
    2. Over the Target Marker

      1. A pretty condensed, color coded, SIMPLE quick look at your target’s capabilities (see screenshots)
      2. Player stat AND Player in that tank
      3. Nifty little, OBVIOUS, marker for

        1. Allys that need help fast
        2. Enemys that need dispatching fast.
    3. Some other tweaking around the hanger UI — not much, cosmetic.
    4. I am now building my own icons using Tank Icon Maker (in the tools section of BWOT)
    5. This is updated and the Minimap HP circles are much more simplified.
    6. THERE IS NO LONGER A NEED TO IMPORT XVM FONTS into Windows.

      1. I’ve modified the code so that the XVM provided fonts work perfectly.
    7. Use the WOT in-game damage/hit log– read in the notes below

    Config File Archive: https://wgmods.net/757/

    Instructions:

    Spoiler
    1. Make sure XVM is installed already and that you have enabled stats on their website.
    2. Download the archive from above.
    3. Extract TO A NEUTRAL LOCATION.   Please do not extract directly into your XVM location  – you could, but why take the risk?
    4. Make sure and make backup copies of your current XVM boot file “xvm.xc” and the “default” folder if you want to preserve anything you did there
    5. Copy “res_mods” folder into your existing “res_mods” folder
    6. Check the copy work — you should see a new config file folder called “KupJones” as well as a new XVM boot file
    7. Note also that each subdir includes an “nppBackup” folder, jsut in case you care to see what was changed.  BTW, these configs were sourced from Aslain’s configs.  My next task is to use the default XVM config files as the source.
    8. Fire up WOT and with fingers crossed you should get a new look and feel.
    9. Enjoy.

    Changes:

    Spoiler

    12/18/2015:  Initial submission

01/18/2016:  I realized there was an error in my config, plus I have made tweaks to the config that impart information that I deem to be more important in guaging my teammates as well as the opposition.

    • Major Changes

      • Added a Player’s “Fruitiness” status icon, courtesy of Soulza.  Great concept as it gives one the IMMEDIATE visual indication of a player’s WN8 status
      • Player’s Panel:  I found reading WN8 colors didnt tell me what I needed to know about THIS battle.  So, the Players Panel shows the player’s XTE rating for the tank that I am facing (or relying on) – telling me what to possibly expect.
      • Player’s Panel Contours and “Spotted” status, courtesy of Aslain
    • Fixed

      • Aslain’s icons

03/11/2016: Verified that the config works with WOT 9.14 + XVM 6.2.1.  No changes to the config files were required.

03/16/2016: Went in and did updating of all XVM config files, adding new ones.  I also added a complete set of contour icons that I like, making sure that the new tanks were represented.  Some tweaking of Players Panel, now you can clearly see the Clan name.

04/11/2016: Updated the config files with the latest XVM (6.2.1.3 5393) that includes new macros, templates, etc.  Also added the M41 90 icon and cleaned up the ALT expert tab to actually mean something.

07/07/2016: Archive now updated to XVM 6.3.2 (WOT 9.15.0.1).  Additional cleanup and applying new features/new .xc files.  Also addressed having custom icons in various places and consolidating those.

10/31/2016:  All updated to 9.16, including addition of new XVM config files and more cleanup work.  XVM sound files are disabled.

    1/28/2017: Updated to 0.9.17.0.3.

    4/25/2017:  Updated to 0.9.18.0

    7/15/2017:  Completely updated for 9.19.1.

    • Biggest change is how the damage/hit logs are dealt with.   **I am not using XVM logs**.  I am, however, using what XVM calls “Efficiency metrics” which are those icons that summarize spotting/bouncing/stunning/etc.  MAKE SURE YOU TURN ON THE IN_GAME LOGS!!
    • Added a login screen clock (just because)

8/21/2017:  Added support for micropatch — Primo Vic etc.

8/31/2017:  Updated to 9.20.  Login screen now has a version splash and I added a new “Player Performance” data panel in the Lobby

    10/20/2017:  Updated to 9.20.1 – minor.

    • I did re-do the Player Panel config as it was too messy and cleaned up some things. You now have enemy % health left and <LAlt> will show you your teams percentages.
    • Updated tank icons

10/27/2017:  Updated to 9.20.1.1 — very minor cleanup

11/27/2017:  Skipped 9.20.1.2 and released 9.20.1.3.   A bit more cleanup.

12/18/2017:  Updated for 9.21.x, no changes other than the splash screen

i dont know how i stumbled on this but i took a look of your method of adding a version identifier on the login screen as i thought to myself good idea but somehow i managed to add it to the hanger instead lol

the image is rough guide and not the finished article but we now know via the widgets templates you are able to add all sorts of items to the hanger screen ,nice idea by you in the first place m8 :)

Yeah, I got tired of asking myself “What version is this?”   And I had already created the Login Clock so I thought “Why not a version splash on Login?”   Yeah, widgets are cool
