Hello,
I have currenty the problem that I have the wrong WN8 showed ingame. It’s less than it should be. As an example. My Phase 1 has 2.4k DMG per match with 2.4k WN8. I hvae just made 4k DMG with 4 kills and the mod showed me 2.6k WN8. And in all other matches its the same.
04.06.2020 at 17:04 #115959A_TrollMemberThe ingame is realtime. So if you hit a blind shot or you knock a track off and someone blinds it after it disappears it “sometimes” does not calculate it.
Then……….. there is the way WN8 is calculated. Read how WN8 is calculated and you will understand. 2.4K damage does not mean 2.4K WN8 in a battle.
I just got 22K WN8 for doing 3K damage. Go figure.
05.06.2020 at 02:50 #115960X-MAN2000ParticipantYes i know how the WN8 is working and thats why i noticed that something is wrong. once i had the first match in one day with no blindshots and the WN8 at the end of the game was lower than the one on wot-life in 24 hours. and today I had a round with my Phase one with over 4k DMG. The mod said it would be rounda bout 2.6k WN8 then I checked how much my WN8 increased on my Phase one and this round had to be around 4.5K WN8. I had 2.4k WN8 after 9 matches and after this it was at 2.615 WN8 after 10 matches.
05.06.2020 at 07:18 #115961X-MAN2000ParticipantNow again. Just had a round with my Obj. 277 with 4.4k DMG and 3 kills at 2.4k WN8 due to the mod. this should be much higher.
05.06.2020 at 09:05 #115962A_TrollMemberI don’t think it shows “for that battle” it shows total.
Anyway… it does not include blind hits and it’s really not a precision tool. It is a cool feature…. treat it like that.
05.06.2020 at 09:13 #115963X-MAN2000Participantyeah the point is it was very precise and now its sometimes about 2k WN8 wrong. just wanted to ask weather it belongs so the settings or something else. But it doesn’t matter XD
05.06.2020 at 22:26 #115964A_TrollMemberThere are no settings for it.

The WN8 formula depends on several variables: damage, frags, spot, def and win rate. Each tank has expected values for these variables, if you get higher result than what is expected, you get high WN8 rating.
For one single battle you either win or loose, so the win rate part of the formula does not fit for single battles. Therefore we use the formula called: WN8 WRx for this calculation. In this formula the win rate is fixed to the expected win rate for the tank used, so this part of the calculation always returns 145 as value. Here an example:
For all other calculations we use the normal WN8 formula, where win rate also is taken into consideration. When calculating several battles the system summarizes all variables, both your result and the expected values, and it ends up with a WN8 result.
It will not work out to calculate WN8 for each battle and make a flat average for those, because the values will not be weighted.
Let me explain by an example:
You play one battle with T1 (tier 1)
You make only 100 in damage
Expected damage is 224,1
You will get a low WN8 – Let’s say it is 500
You play one battle with IS-7 (tier 10)
You make 3800 in damage
Expected damage is 1772,5
You will get a high WN8 – Let’s say it is 3500
The flat average for those are: (500 + 3500) / 2 = 2000. However, this will not be correct.
The WN8 formula does like this:
Total damage result: 100 + 3800 = 3900
Total expected damage: 224,1 + 1772,5 = 1996,6
The average WN8 for those two battles will still be high because the IS-7 battle will be weighted more than the T1 battle as you can see. The result might be around 3000.
Another issue that affects WN8 is the win rate, if you won both these battles you will have 100% win rate for giving more value than calculations per battle where the win rate is fixed to the expected value.

The in battle counter doesn’t count first spots, frags and base cap/def which all are counted after the battle.

NOW you know how it works……AAAAAND…………. WHY it is wrong.

for example. ive had one round without any blindshots and things like this. And the WN8 shown in the game was kinda low. So I checked it on WOT-Life because it was the first game for 24 hours. And the WN8 shown there was much higher. The point is that earlier it was working fine.

When you go to WOT-life it is weighted. Read the post dude. Live results in game cannot be weighted.
