This is a generated report from an AV program. It would not “forget” a folder.

If your path is REALLY what is posted here Bob I would advise you to reinstall the game. The WoT folder is sorta important for the game updater and it is an expected path in automated updating. Just my opinon.
The cef_browser_process is a process to allow the game client access to a web browser to receive information about updates/offers etc. You can disable the process without affecting the game. In this case, the AVG track you showed is to a site created 3 months ago. I can’t get it to respond. It can probably be many things but it looks like an adware hook. The adress itself can have been grabbed from a cookie in your browser history, injected from a “bad” webite or added to a SS afterwards. It can also be a false positive (don’t trust free AV programs). In any case. I have not managed to get that process, or anything else, to react to the address you posted. I get error 404.
I am very suspicious of AVG and I do not trust reports generated by it. However…. the report still looks “wrong” and because I spend large amounts of time examining things like this I still want to dismiss it……….. despite what you say. I am also suspicious of your data collection process. Claiming this is a hook for music does not give me confidence in your examination process.
If you try disabling that you will see that the sound works. Ergo…. it does not do that and has nothing to do with that.
If I remove tree limits in my explorer I can get a screenshot like yours. I would still like to point out that the expected path for the game contains World_of_Tanks because expected folders can be World_of_Tanks_CT and World_of_Tanks_enCore etc. Because the game client is so clunky, modification of that could cause unexpected actions.

something suspicious is going on with this file
me and a friend of mine we both have kaspersky IS installed (same paid version) my KIS find this file safe but my friends KIS alerts him every single time he run wot i dont have a scr but i can find it
he try to solve it by uninstalling game and delete all files using revo uninstaller bw mods cleaner and manual check for any left overs but after he install and run game those damn KIS alerts came backIt is a false positive. It depends how you have KIS set up on your PC. Send your friend the version you have and he can copy/paste it over the one he has. If he still gets reports……..

Just a lol for Bob. I started messing with the WoT client to try and reproduce…….. something.
I managed to get variations in sound for music/game during the game, as Bob described in the OP. My sound card was set in windows for “Adjust max volume”.
Not saying it WAS this but……. interesting huh?
