worldoftanks 0.9.16.0 (compiled at 19:36:31 Aug 23 2016) starting on Wed Dec 7 05:14:14 2016the date and times is logged / changes each time you log into wot
I have one question
how can you be so sure that this log is only written in file python.log? what if everytime when you login, the game automatically send log to server. WG doesnt need all information from your python, honestly they only need one line: ” 2016-12-07 05:14:16.700: INFO: [PY_DEBUG] Checking ./res_mods/0.9.16: mods not found”For me python.log in game folder is only for you, if game crash you can read

What do you think about that?
08.12.2016 at 21:10 #111465blackhawk4040ParticipantI had an alt account banned so I got the idea of writing to WG and asking them if they could scan it and let me know if any other erroneous software was on my client (i blamed the installation of illegal stuff on some generic xvm installer).
Here’s what I got back from WG… I’ll also upload the .exe file they sent me so that one of you guys that knows their stuff might be able to analyze it…. Seems to me almost like a scam to catch people because they say add the client to firewall exceptions and in the same message they say that it only allows them to see if there are mods without telling them what the mods are…
Thank you for playing our game and reaching out to us here at Wargaming Support.
We appreciate you reaching to us about our Fair Play Policy.
Below we have included a download link to our WG Check tool. This diagnostic tool can be used for World of Tanks, World of Warships, and World of Warplanes. It will also let us know if there are mods in your game client.
Once you have downloaded it, open the zip file and run the WGCheck.exe. After it has launched, please select the World of Tanks icon and locate its directory. The default location is C:GamesWorld_of_Tanks
- Check the box that labeled, Add game client to the firewall exceptions
- Check the box that labeled, Extended network diagnostics
- Start the integrity check by selecting the orange Start Diagnostics button
Be patient, it will take some time to finish.
Finally, please send us the WGCheck log that generates after the program has completed its check.
We would like to set your expectation though that this tool will only allow us to see if there are mods in your game client, it will not be able to identify what those mods are.
We look forward to hearing from you.

08.12.2016 at 21:56 #111466SRQFlyerParticipantWG Check Tool has been around forever. You can look at the file it creates. All it shows is if the res_mods folder is empty. The game itself has a firewall rule, it is needed for the tool to compare you game files to the WG versions to ensure there are no corrupt files.
You did not say what you think the scam is.
08.12.2016 at 22:11 #111467blackhawk4040ParticipantI said I think the scam is to catch people using mods… In other words you open your firewall they say that you need to send them the log but it actually transmits it…

Your firewall is already open for the game no need to do anything else.
09.12.2016 at 08:50 #111469SailorMemberWith this war on no no mods, I’m going through my mod pack and cleaning it up a bit. Decided to dump my tracer mod (damn it looked so kool) and all of the ZJ mods. Those were really the only bad mods I used. This rest are eye candy mods for me. All of the other bad mods I used, I found legit versions and replaced them.

Some more advice:
- Delete the updater.
- Did you download the “ace tanker” mod? If you did and you’re banned now, guess what you owe that ban to…
- Encrypt your replays folder or do the same as you did with you python log. Erase all contents within it, prevent anything from writing to it, and lock the folder (make it read only).
I personally typed F**k you. Eat s**t. with a nice picture to clear up confusion within my replay and python log.
…aswell as encryting replays is thr a way of making them save to a different folder from “replays”???…
