This post is  to show you how to convert a mod out of ” res_mods ”  into a .wotmod  for the ” mods ” folder with 7 zip .

I recommend to name your .wotmod the same name as the source file  .Example I will use one of my favorite mods that I make <a href="/index.php?app=forums&module=forums&controller=topic&id=1377″ rel=””> Hawgs MiniMap

The SWF  ” minimap ”   is the source file ,so the name of my .wotmod file will be  ” minimap.wotmod ” . I know it nice to see your name on a file, setting in

the “mods” folder, but its not a good ideal. Because if you have  2 of the same source files  with different names setting in your “mods” folder, the game

will give you  a error at the start of  game loading, than neither of the source file will work . And in my years of mod making other players are less to try

a mod after it gives them a error or crash the game. Just ask 150 about that :P,  he was my guinea pig for most of my mods.

    Now to show you how to make a .wotmod file for a minimap SWF file.from res_mods > 0.9.19.1. > gui > flash > minimap.swf

Step: 1 Make you a folder on your desktop name it ” WotChamber ”  Capture.JPG just to keep things organize

    Step: 2 Make a folder inside the ” WotChamber ”  make a folder named ” res”  Capture.JPG

    Step: 3 Take your mod from the ” res_mods ” > than 0.19.1.1 >  “gui ” Capture.JPG copy & paste your ” gui ” into the “res ” folder Capture.JPG

So now your ” WotChamber ” should look this when you open >WotChamber > res >  gui > flash > minimap.swf

Note : you can use any type of file  : example ” scripts ”  ” content ”  “gui” ….

Step : Compression your mod to wotmod file

Step: 1 Right click your  “res ” folder

Step: 2 Left click 7 zip ” Add to Archive  ”

Step: 3  Pick the path where the mod needs to be, >  C:GamesWorld of Tanksres

Note : the path must be C: drive if you have your game on external hard drive

just make a fake path with folders On C: drive  C:GamesWorld of Tanksres

Step:4  Name  your mod than put .wotmod at the end exmple  ” minimap.wotmod “

Step:5   Pick archive format   “ zip

    Step: 6 Pick Compression level :   ” Store “

    Step :7 Click ” OK

Your  new ” wotmod ” file be located  in the C:GameWorld of Tanksres folder after your done,Than just move your file to the ” mods ” folder

    7 Zip Example

    7zip.JPG

To open your wotmod file just right click the file than pick either ” Open Archive ” or “Extract file ” to adjust your mod

But please name your  .wotmod the same name as the source file    if your planing to post your mod on the web,To ensure

the users of the mod no errors ,unless if your making a pack ,

Hope this post made sense to you

If you have any question feel free to ask me .
