• The STORY of [LAMP]…. How [LAMP] came to be.

   

  The Story of how [LAMP] came to be...
  
  "When I first started playing the game I was absolutely irritated, and didn't like certain things of the game at all, and absolutely HAD to change things in order to even enjoy the game.  I couldn't stand that you couldn't "zoom out", the default game feels like you're in a cramped car for hours on end.  I wanted to zoom in more, so I could get more natural zooming feeling instead of the default limited zoom they use.  I couldn't stand the "scroll" in and out and that you couldn't select a default zoom, both were "disorienting".  I couldn't stand the tank icons which didn't tell you crap about them, some arty looked like tanks even, so that was irritating.  I couldn't stand the "messages" in the bottom middle of screen that you couldn't read whatsoever, and thus being near completely blind as to what was going on in the battle, what I shot, what shot me etc.  I couldn't stand the only one row Carousel.  I couldn't stand the being clueless of the minimap, where tanks had been, and not being able to see your viewranges. I couldn't stand that you can't see enemy left hit points in the PlayersPanel.  I couldn't stand the imbalanced looking default sights and I couldn't stand the "bouncing/dropping" reticle when tanks disappeared, were near buildings or ground and moved (this started unbearable in update 8.11).
  
  So, these are the most important and necessary things of the game that I was utterly irritated that it didn't have already and STILL doesn't have.  (where is Wargamings quality control?)
  For these issues I needed and the game to have these mods by default:
  
  - Zoom In/Out and No-Scroll and default zoom mod.
  - Clear tank icons that told you the tank name, tier, color by class, and country.
  - Informative Damage and Hit Logs
  - Multi-row Carousel
  - XVM for Minimap features & Hit Points left for players
  - J1mbos sight (or similar design with less "line stuff" but with similar basic info is ideal, like my favorite is Dickey93's Taipan first option for Arcade, second option for Sniper, a near perfect sight)
  - BalCalcMod, or Advanced Aiming System, or now in Safeshot to fix the "bouncing/dropping reticle issue".
  
  If Wargaming added these basic things to the game, similar to my mod pack in colors and design, which are the most Readable and clear of ANY of the mods out there, then I wouldn't have to or need to use mods.
  I might use a couple for fun, but I wouldn't be so danged stressed out with the constant updating and fixing.  I have to spend the equivalent of 4 Work Days every update in total time necessary to keep the pack updated.
  If Wargaming did 3 primary updates a year with only absolutely necessary big bug fixes inbetween like in my view they should, it wouldn't be so bad, but they don't.
  Bottom line, the above things SHOULD be part of the game already, yet Wargaming is lazy to impliment things that people most want and need FIRST before anything else.
  This is how LAMP came to be, and how I wouldn't be playing the game if it wasn't for my mod pack.  (I have some extra's and some customization in it, but aren't needed.  The above ARE needed)"

   

• Why is my Equipment (Bino, Camo, Toolbox) removed in Hangar and after battle?

  The “Auto-Telescope” mod automatically places Binos, Camo, and Toolbox (in that order) in a tank when loading to battle, and removes them after battle. You can manually select what you want, and the mod will ‘remember’ that skill for that tank. Like if you want Camo instead of Bino’s on an Empty Slot.
  
  
  This allows you to save money (by having less Equip, I find 3 each is enough) and not having to manually add them and remove them, as well making sure you never have an empty slot when going into battle. You can also change the order of which item is used first in an empty slot. For example, instead of Bino’s being used first, you can have Camo be used. Simply edit the .xml file in the below file and folder with Notepad++ ONLY or similar.
  
  
  If you really don’t want your life to be easier and cheaper by removing the mod, then simply go to the “mods” folder WOTres_mods***scriptsclientguimods and delete the 2 auto-telescope files

• How to get Mouse Scroll back?

  Go to WOTres_modsconfigsxvmleeuniverse edit camera.xc with NotePad++ ONLY (or similar advanced editor).

• How To disable/edit the “Safe-Shot” mod?

  Go to WOTres_mods***scriptsclientmods edit AdvancedAimingSystem.xml with NotePad++ ONLY (or similar advanced editor).

  Or, sometimes safeshot might be within another xml or json file.

• How to move or remove the black InfoPanel pop-up, my screen is small?

  Edit with NotePad++ ONLY: the Normal x & y, which is your positioning of the InfoPanel popup.

• How to edit my sight settings?

  Go to WOTres_modsconfigsxvmleeuniverse edit camera.xc with NotePad++ ONLY (or similar advanced editor).
  
  Or, if you’re talking about configuring the game Sight, like your Reticle, pointer, etc. styles, it MUST be done “In Battle”. Sight changes cannot be made in hangar when using most custom sights, though not all.

• How to change the Zoom Distance?

  Go to WOTres_modsconfigsxvmleeuniverse edit camera.xc with NotePad++ ONLY (or similar advanced editor).

• How to change the Default Zoom when pressing the Shift Key?

  Go to WOTres_modsconfigsxvmleeuniverse edit camera.xc with NotePad++ ONLY (or similar advanced editor).

• How to turn off Auto-Login?

  Go to WOTres_modsconfigsxvmleeuniverse edit login.xc with NotePad++ ONLY (or similar advanced editor).

• How to change the # of Rows in the Tank Carousel?

• My game now “LAGS” after installing your Mod Pack?

  The HP #’s in the playersPanel can be “resource intensive”. If you have any lagging problems and you didn’t before, just disable the HP #’s.
  
  You can do so by going to WOTres_modsconfigsxvmleeuniverse edit battle.xc with NotePad++ ONLY (or similar advanced editor).
  
  Change “allowHpInPanelsAndMinimap”: to false,

  If that doesn’t help you, then you may wish to consider the XVM ONLY option, and then install a few select needed mods such as zoom, sights, etc.

  If even that doesn’t help, then it looks like your computer is just to limited to run both the game and any reasonable mods. You may be able to install some mods separate such as the zoom mods, or sights etc., but little else. I do appologize for your difficulty. I had a computer once which was so bad I could only play arty on it, and just barely. Tanks were unplayable because of the lag, and that was without any mods. Eventually, even that computer couldn’t even operate while in hangar, thus game was unplayable with it. I’ve now upgraded. LOL

  Note, Sound Mods also sometimes cause lag, see about removing or not using them.
  
  You can also try “WOT Tweaker Plus” found in the res_mods directory.

   

• My InfoPanel, Hitlog, or Damage Log etc. are cut off?

  Those who have smaller screens, you will likely want to edit various X Y position settings to change the positioning of certain objects.
  
  All 3 of the above are now found in the Multi-Hit Log Mod found in WOTres_mods***scriptsclientguimodsMHL edit leeuniverse.json
  
  
  If your InfoPanel is cut off, like you have a Screen Resolution of 1600×900, simply find the InfoPanel window section and change the “y” position numbers by 100 or so, from 478 to 378 or 420.
  
  Use a Saved Game “Replay” to test the positioning of things.

• Why do your stats Suck?

   

  THINK MY “STATS” SUCK?   (STOP THE STAT BULLYING)
  

  BTW, for those who need to know since I know some of you think it and say it, if you look at my stats and you think I “suck”, well, some things I would like to point out. About 40% of my games (used to be 80% early on) are not at all my actual game play. First, when I first got introduced to the game by my kids, they had a sucky computer, and I really could only play arty with it, because when I played a tank, it had such bad lag that I would always die easy, was simply unplayable. Then I got my own nice computer, ended up getting 3 different ones because for some reason had a crappy router and wireless was always dropping (would drop in the middle of game), and did lot’s of troubleshooting using the game to do so.
  
  
  Then I got into mods, and so I would test various packs, started creating my own, would intentionally die to test things, had a computer issue which turned out looks like it was some driver issue, which would cause the game to freeze right in the middle of game play, so tried to test that over and over, and I played light tanks for a long time as well, etc. etc. So anyway, about only 60% of my games are me really trying to play, and when I really play, I place within the top six generally, and if I have a good tank, I place within the top 4 generally (these days I usually place in the top 3). Of course, sometimes being human, I do the rare dumb thing, or try things out to see what works and doesn’t work, but anyway, I play good when I’m really playing. The only stat that is pretty “close” to showing my real game play is my hit ratio, because usually when I shot, I shot to hit. But even it should be a bit higher for various reasons. Oh, and I’ve also tested various tanks, bought and sold over and over, tried things out etc. thus not really trying to play.
  
  
  Anyway, I only mention this because people are retarded for thinking everyone that looks like they suck actually do suck per the poor stats etc. Not everyone simply fits that “paradigm”. So let’s be nice to each other. We are all human, fellow tankers. As well, the more I play, the more I realize that although most of the play is skill based, it’s also just the luck of the play as well. Sometimes crap just happens. As well, Wargaming knows what they are doing, they put sucky tanks against good tanks to keep win rates as close to even as possible.
  
  
  So to all the Stat Bully’s…… Here is PROOF that I’m actually a 2200 WN8 level BLUE….. “Recent Average” player….

  Note also that I did not simply capture a “rare” best moment. I played these 16 games and then continued for 3 days for a total of 217 games (save a couple of games where I needed to test something) immediately after being challenged, belittled, and lied about in three Forum threads that my WOT “skills suck”, because my “stats” say I suck. Well, these are my ACTUAL stats, and I don’t suck. Having conducted a couple of professional studies in college, this test and the circumstances behind it are well within accurate statistical probability. Further, I know how well I play, I see my stats every day as above…. or are you going to keep calling me a liar? I’m better than 99% of players of the game according to WN8 Stat Ratings. I don’t say this to toot my horn, but because I’ve been challenged, so I provide the simple FACTS.
  
  
  So, I decided to prove the stat bully’s wrong, and for who they are. Further, for those who still want to make excuses to belittle people, I don’t actually “use” hitskins. I did once for about 30 days to memorize weak points, and then I only usually once every game update test the above skins I recommend from AIOMOD, and I also periodically test them and other mods. My pack doesn’t have skins, so no I don’t “need” them, and I don’t use them except for testing and as a rare reminder. I just happened to have them installed at the time of these screenshots. I re-install my mod pack at least once a day, and skins aren’t in it.
  
  
  Further, any good player memorizes hitzones from a website, Tank Inspector or otherwise. So, stop being childish.
  
  
  One other thing…… I’ve decided to do something different so as to try not to almost ever play games that aren’t me actually playing. I didn’t care before, but since you all DO care about judging people by their stats, and I actually care some now how well I do show, I’m going to change my practices so my actual stats can start to show. So, if anything good came from this (even though I know most won’t change their views even though the proof is right in front of them) I’m going to change how I do my testing.
