Battle Stats – Statistics players in action

Hi again guys,

To add to what I’d said earlier, whenever I was playing the game and came out to desktop I had Bitdefender reporting a threat blocked , cef_browser_process.exe and also blocking this yahoo money site , the both are linked . 

The game did a mini update about a week after this all started and the problem has gone now. I am no computer whiz but I think WG may have had some malware/spam / this problem  issue and they have since fixed it because all is fine now.

Just my opinion and could easily be barking up the wrong tree but the prob has gone.

I only use BW mods and Pf stats with game installed on brand new hard-drive.  

 

I spoke to bitdefender and sent them full dump file and some other stuff they asked for and the reply in reference to cef_browser follows. I was going to send the actual files but the problem went away.

The process in question seems to be related to their game profile analysis and a possible overlay introduction in the future for their platform.

Hmmmm….. then why does it not happen to me? I have no clue why.

Anyway.

The cef_browser_process does not collect data. So it does not send anything anywhere.

This means…… collected data on your profile, (time playing, stats, what you bought, what WG pages your read, country, etc) from the WG info server, selects offers to you and overlays the info in a browser window in the game. That’s what it does.

The privacy clause they showed is realted to……. (time playing, stats, what you bought, what WG pages your read, country, etc)…. NOT anything they could collect from your PC because that would be illegal.

i had some kind of the same warning at my hardware firewall for cef browser 
Security alert  was listed by firewalls intrusion prevention system “Remote command exploit execution via cef_browser_process.exe”

i try to disable firewall and then my antivirus start warning me  
That was some days ago now its gone
 

I don’t know if it was something related with WG or the mods i didn’t check it i let the firewall do the job blocking it

is this not the ingame browser ? when your in garage you get offers pop up for latest prem tanks ,does this not open a browser to wg website? i think this is the culprit

CMB is a typo or a bad translation. It is supposed to be LFP but it means “tracks”.

Temporary solution for bw/stats/other
open with notepad file: C:/Windows/System32/drivers/etc/hosts

write lines:

88.198.46.185 rfs.pfmods.net

save and close

first make a backup of your hosts file …. it’s just temporary solution so the next days restore the hosts file (delete the added lines)

Update new version 2.1.8 for patch 1.0.2.4

 At last patch (1.2.0.2) The players panel doesn’t show  games no of players. Only way to see those is TAB key extended screen. Recent version has had no such problem. Any solution to have games no. too at players panel in game?

As you can see the below screenshot, at left I can have the WN8 ratings only. I need game no. s of players near it as I could have with your mod in  recent version of WOT.
