Here’s an interesting fact gathered from an “official source”.
I don’t know how much of this is true. I do trust the person who told me this but as he said it is very “sketchy” due to the secrecy within the company.
The general theory (in the company) was that the first ban wave was a compilation of two things.
1. Leaked mod users.
2. The servers reporting winrate jumps. (Apparently winrate or/and stat jumps are flagged on the servers. WGs policy on that is that if your WR suddenly jumps a lot…….. you are cheating).
I asked about reading res_mods folder etc. and the answer was “Not really necessary”.
Interesting answer.
Apparently the banned users are being monitored. WG expects their WR to fall and if they don’t, they are still cheating. Bad news for good players I guess. I asked about the second banwave and I got the answer “we shall see”.
Now, I’m pretty sure that the TT mod had something to do with the bans and I wonder if that was a smoke screen due to the fact that mod-check is not possible or if it actually worked. However, the second ban wave might shed some light. I know of a couple of people who are running clients with different mod settings to see what gets banned and what doesn’t. I’m interested to see if anyone else had a winrate jump just before the ban. I was one who did but that was because I was seal-clubbing and farming free XP for the Swedish line. My stats jumped a lot and I got banned. Yes, I was using illegal mods but the stat jump was NOT because of that.
27.12.2016 at 15:01 #111588BobCMemberI am just shit at the game so win rate has no effect on me hahahahaha
28.12.2016 at 04:35 #111589SailorMemberWonder how many seal clubbers got banned because of their WR increase that didn’t use any mods? I guess they had no recourse but to buck up and take it.
28.12.2016 at 09:07 #111590maxeyemusMemberIn randoms, winrate % is largely team dependant.
Your WN8/efficiency is more of a barometer of how you are playing.28.12.2016 at 20:12 #111591A_TrollMember11 hours ago, maxeyemus said:In randoms, winrate % is largely team dependant.

Winrate is what WG servers trigger on strangely enough. (Waves a red flag with the word CHEATER in big letters lol). So if you get good players on your team you are a cheater

WN8 can be padded.
Only thing that really matters is if you had fun. (Oh…… and the rage PMs after battle).
29.12.2016 at 16:57 #111592WuzzelMemberHi
I cant belive that its the WR because mine is rised up from 10.9.16 at 47.28% to 47,76% until now thats 0,48% and thats for sure not a ban worth

I think that these two things are wrong at least in my case…… I was one of the “lucky” banned players and 1. i was only downloading mods without paying and my nickname is different, therefore nobody could have known who I am and 2. my winrate dropped the last 2 months before the ban from 53,5 to 52,05 due to the “curse” that wg dropped on all my german tanks (i was grinding the grille 15 line with unbelievably bad matchmaking all the time). After the ban i dont play a lot but winrate started to go up again…. does this mean that i ‘ll get banned again without confirming if I am cheating or not?
I am sure that they have a way to know all players who cheat, how they choose who to ban or not is a mystery though.
29.12.2016 at 18:19 #111594BobCMemberAtlas I use the exact same pack as another player in here. I have to trust that the creator of that pack does not have any other Mods being used as they were banned and I wasn’t as that raises the question of why not I?
I only have 30k games played for them to compare my WinRate so I reckon that is a very wide scope to get a true and accurate picture hence I passed with flying colours.
Perhaps some players have smaller amounts of games and their win rates are fluctuating dramatically hence the red flag being raised to scrutinise their accounts. More so if they have recently started using Mods. Aren’t I glad I was introduced to a great Modder after around 10k games
30.12.2016 at 12:11 #111595soulzaParticipanti use exact same mods on two servers , one acount got banned the other did not , the only difference was i had left over parts of pmod in my banned account , it has long time been a suspect , we knows it create logs itself and has the ability to hide logs etc. so this without doubt could track your mods , because there has been no leak from wargaming as of yet to how they selected the bans it makes me think they used a third party to gain the info which of course is illegal

….that’ll be the same type of 3rd parties the yanks say have been poking round their “lets elect a clown” party then I take it……

…….
30.12.2016 at 20:07 #111597Atlas01MemberI had 52% wr in 11k games without even using xvm or premium account or anything else, I didn’t know anything about mods, when i started using cheat pack it went +1,5% or so quickly, then I started paying for premium account and some premium tanks and suddenly I felt like I was deliberately thrown at the worst matcups all the damn time and my wr dropped very fast and then i was banned LOL.
My thoughts are: since they don’t like my money, they will never get them again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S. when i opened a ticket to delete my account, they refused using a bullshit excuse which I wouldn’t like to mention in the forum.

Exactly!!!!!
02.01.2017 at 12:29 #111600Atlas01MemberI wanted to delete my account, the only way to do that is to open a ticket for account deletion, maybe they will perma-ban me at the next wave (without checking if i use any cheats) to show that they mean business LOL.
As for the mods… I was using Apollo’s pack, most of ZJ’s mods.
