I don’t remember the exact interview but one of the WG staff talked about “The spider network” while talking about catching cheaters. Interesting that they had a name for it. I found this very interesting because this is implying reports to catch cheaters. My first assumtion was “Training Clan” players having events to farm cheaters and make their penis size grow. Perhaps not.
I started thinking about how certain modpack/CC distibutors started to get very close to WG. Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice that WG includes them in some way. But…… (tin foil hat time), what if the modpack installer on certain packs makes a log of installed mods in the mods and res-mods folder? Or even a mod contained in their pack that did it. Could this be “The spider network”? Sounds very KGB lol.
I have no proof that this is so and I mean no disrespect to Aslain or QB or anyone else. It’s just a thought I wanted to post to get comments.
Well said! That’s what I was trying to say, but you did it much better. The last thing I meant to do was to offend anyone.
My 1 acct was banned and I only use the BW mods.
I suspect the arty might be my prob as I was playing with back tracking other arty shells to kill artys too much

Yeaa, very often problem is not a mod but behavior..
hmmm interesting about arties… been using BWmods soley for 10 months no problem. That last month i started to play arty and was having a blast using spghunter mod of BWmods and now drew 7 day ban.
If you want to use cheat Mods then learn to use them properly and discreetly. Afterall none of us in here are Angels. We are here because cheating makes the game fun and allows you as an individual to keep up the rest of the gaming community who are more than likely also cheating.
But to start blaming the creators of the Cheat packs is so wrong when it is YOU that is cheating. Those guys have never forced you to use their packs. That was your choice and now you have to learn to live with the ban.
Learn how to use the Mod or remove them but please stop bleating like sheep and blaming others.

Bob old man, the stance you’re taking would best work on the WoT forum along with those who think any mod is a cheat. A_Troll has a valid point. I can think of a number of ways WoT could be doing this. (1) We’re pretty sure they use bots in-game. (2) Other players (solo’s and clans), (3) Clans, do I believe that certain clans are working with WoT to catch players who may or may not be using questionable modifications, YES I DO! (4) Does WoT have a program that is ferreting us out? It would appear so. (5) Now the worst of them all, someone you know. Someone who knows you use questionable mods. A old clan member, ex lover, brother (ho the pain), point is put all this together and it adds up to a nasty network to do what they set out to do. Fair?, no, instead of picking through and catching a few players just stop the modding. Question, do you believe all the top ten clan member play vanilla? Has anyone looked to see if any of them are on the list? Sorry Bob this rant is not directed at you. You see, I took a seven day ban on Wed. Auto-Aim ( not WB’s) and Tundra . Yes I knew the risk. I used a raincoat,I washed my hands. Mine is seven days I have m8’s that lost their accounts for good. The money, time, the work all down the tubes. Am I up set? You damn right I am. WoT is so vague on how they do this banning. I don’t know how equitable the process is or has been to all players of the game.

Don’t EVER think this was directed specifically at you. If I wanted to direct it at you on a personal level then you know I will. But as I have no thoughts to do so then “wind in your neck”.
If you had read my post above then your question was answered.
Now to get back on track. Players are all too ready to blame the Mod Creators when the shit hits the fan. I too am guilty of that in my moments of keyboard rage. I know it’s not the Mods nor the creators but the mode and manner in which the Mods are used.
So, once again I say, RTFM and play the cheat mods properly. Youtube has plenty of videos and the guys in here always advise on how to use them.
If after you have asked how to play them and still failing and getting banned then it is down to you as an individual who would then appear to have learning difficulties and not the single mod or Modpacks.
Thereafter there are many other places to assist in that department.

Use a new IP address and reinstall the game but that means starting as a newbie unless you can obtain access to another account.
Hopefully it is not a broad IP ban as that can wipe out quite a large area of houses around you.

I think I need my last 3 posts merged.
Sadly we can all wear my tinfoil hat and we all come to the same conclusion that WOT is monitoring the game but the likelyhood of knowing how they achieve their objective is so secretive that we can debate all day long and still only come to the conclusion that , “yes, they are watching and banning”
This game is so corrupt that I do not believe the top 10 play vanilla. There may be times when they have to but they didn’t get to the top on a basic game.
At least you are admitting that you were caught because of your own actions and that is commendable but it’s the ones that blame everyone else and everything else but themselves that is worrying.
Again, we don’t know how WOT utilise their anti-cheat programme but I reckon that it is equitable otherwise it would be a full blanket of perma-bans. But that loses them money.
At the end of the day we can only hope that we don’t get caught and that only happens by learning to use the Mods correctly and be OTT in their usage. Sure, use them but a little here and there will often work more than all out war with them.
If I recall, 2 of the worst that I have seen were Xray. Players were scanning behind the hill and tracking the enemy before opening fire. Very suspicious so the easy way was to watch them and as soon as they appeared, POP them.
Then Fallen Destructibles, players spammingthe map and suddenly the tank appears. Very suspicious so use that Mod ONLY for yourself or a friend in your platoon.
Many other Mods could be discussed but it all comes down to the same thing. Use them sparingly and if you think you are being watched then you must think that you ARE being watched and change your gameplay PDQ.
