OK. I really need to address this.
No-one of us here has any idea when or how they were detected…….. or for WHAT they were detected. Yeah…. it’s WGs secret. The usual guess is sometime between the last ban and this one. In fact it can be ANY TIME due to the fact that WG probably collects “strikes” and when they reach a certain level. You get banned. If you are post 7 day ban you will be monitored continuously for a time so being careful or vanilla is smart for a while.
Using an aimbot will get you lots of strikes if you ALWAYS use it. Don’t ALWAYS use it. The thing here is being obvious. If someone is running across your view and you use an aimbot, it will track the target. If you don’t use the aimbot, you preaim and fire at the right time. That is easy behavior for the game to track and log.
Now. I am doubtful about those who say they ONLY use BW. Sure I agree that maybe you might have at the time of the ban, but that is already too late if you used other illegal mods ANYTIME BEFORE the ban. You can already be detected and monitored. Now. I know that WG do include other ban reasons in the banwave, so you can get banned in the banwave for other things too. AFKing, bad behavior, illegal mods, manipulation of physics…. the list goes on. It is very probable that they will include these strikes, or even add everything up to get a ban level for the banwave. In other words WG thinks you DESERVE a ban.
It makes sense that WG would call everything “Use of illegal mods” because they are sending a message. However, with that said I have seen different ban messages in the banwave. They also say that the decision CANNOT be overturned. That is a lie.
It’s really interesting that no-one yet has said “I got banned for sticking my gun in an artys barrel…. oh yes, I was using BW mods too, but didn’t get banned for them”. Why would they? WG wants you to THINK that you only get banned for illegal mods in the banwave. How many can hand-on-heart say they didn’t do ANYTHING else that could get you banned. I know I can’t.
I bet most of the people that got banned don’t know about, or haven’t even noticed the little WG bots following you around and watching what you do. They use lasers and can see if you target lock on something behind cover or if you are leading the target. (I will include the video at the end of my rant).
Now. Everyone who buys BW mods CHOOSES to do that. They know the risks and I think it is childish to go bohoho when they get banned and they were actually cheating. Getting caught WILL get you banned. Say for example I rob a bank and get lots of money. Making it obvious by buying stuff or doing stuff normal people cannot do will draw attention to you and you will probably get caught. Is that the banks fault?
The mods cannot be detected, otherwise EVERYONE using it would get banned. You can get detected by being stupid but I suppose it’s easier to blame BW than admit to being obvious or try to remember if you used other mods. I’m not saying everyone who got banned fucked up because there is no way of knowing how they got flagged. Just think about it. Only a small number of BW mod users got banned. How can it be detected then?
It’s all about behavior and being smart. Illegal mods CAN get you banned. Use them at your own risk. I think this is one of the few sites that make that very clear. Stop moaning and pointing fingers you pussys. Cheating is cheating.
