you will be able to use the old minimaps if you grab them from your res folder before 9.16 update , its simple case of putting old maps in correct place in res_mods ,
the kiled message ? are you using xvm ? if so its a setting in that not the games natural kill message that is being displayed . if you are playing without xvm then not sure.
