Strange entries in python log

Ever since the Soccer update I’ve noticed strange entries in the python log. It appears the game is pinging WoT servers in .ru, .eu, .asia. Whatever it is, it’s causing me to lockup during the battle countdown. When it happens all music and the ticking are still occurring, but the timer stops. That’s the clue. I have to Ctrl-Alt-Del to get out. There I’m shown a message about my video card drivers have a problem and to restart the game. The current drivers I have right now are the same ones (current) I had before the Soccer update. When I get back into the game everything appears normal and I can play. Usually takes about 20 secs from unfreeze to back into the game. Sometimes this will happen 2-3 times before I can even leave the spawn point. Tonight I noticed that when this happens it disables the ingame chat and the ability to click on the minimap. I have to completely close the game and restart to reset.

I’m not running any mods or xvm at the moment. thought all this trouble was from mods, but it’s not. Below is my python log. I did not play a battle, just started and then logged off.

Maybe someone here may have a clue as to what’s going on.

This says that it has loaded BW mods.

To stop this you need to delete this file.

Your python log is looking for mods associated with the game client load and cannot find them in the mods or res_mods folders. The “hang” you have looks like the game (mods) looking for files that are deleted and this is making it hang.

I saw that and was thinking the same thing. But I have never used any BW mods. I even deleted WoT and reinstalled. At the moment I have absolutely no mods installed. Going to delete everything and reinstall and see what appears.

I don’t even have that file. Nada. Not even the correct location for my game. Anyway, I just did a complete delete of WoT. Did a deep clean of the registry and all drives to make sure there is no evidence of WoT on my computer. Reinstalled and launched the game. Closed it out and looked at the python log.

Same thing.

I tried to physically go to these web sites and nothing. See the error 404? Forbidden access. I guess they don’t want us to see what’s happening. 😀

It all seems to do with the soccer mode. I looked up nginx. It looks like the servers that WG uses.

Anyway, I thought I would bring it to everyones attention to see if they are seeing the same thing as I am.

Guess I’ll live with the freezes until WG dumps the soccer crap.

I clicked the download button and never noticed I was reinstalling the EU pack In the last 5 minutes I have started downloading the NA pack.

Python is showing up errors relating to scripts/client and a variety of other script/ files but I also do not see them within the game files. Perhaps they are fragmented and kicking around somewhere hence the error codes as the game works fine albeit its the EU pack with my baby tanks.

ps In case I picked the wrong pack again with any dubious content contained within, can anyone explain why the download path is: na.wargaming as opposed to www blah blah wargaming.na ?

Perhaps that way Sailor and I don’t download a bad pack.

Don’t know how you could be d/l the EU version, ‘cuz it defaults to the na version if you are on the U.S. website.

The download path from U.S. shows https://wot.gcdn.co.

File name is WoT_internet_install_na.exe

The above website does show up in the python log I posted.

I believe all of this is because of the soccer update.

Anyway I sent in a ticket to WG just to see what kind of BS answer the give me, like it’s your computer, update the drivers, it’s your connection……

Sadly I was on the Wargaming website and hadn’t noticed it was the EU site hence I got the EU pack.

It;s all now working as intended by splitting the 2 games onto 2 different hard drives.

I was right. 😄 It’s your video card, update the drivers, reboot computer with minimum resources running, etc…..
