Well Guys I have just had a very strange occurrence happen to me and needed to have it investigated by the Police, my phone company and Offcom (An independent phone monitoring company).
For the past Month or so I had been seeing within WOT some unusual names that would not normally be associated with anything in particular had you or someone else seen it. However the names I have been seeing were all related to conversations that I had partaken in. As an example:
Yeah I was out fishing yesterday. We were fluff chucking.
Next day, the name Fluff Chucker appears. Then another convo when discussing a friend went like this:
blah blah blah Commander Phil
Lo and behold Commander Phil appears in the game.
Yesterday seen me tell off a family member for overfeeding the cat.
Now “Themeowfoodhoarder” appears in-game.
Keep in mind that is only 3 instances but once I realised that this was not paranoia I decided to keep a log. Well what a saviour that was because last night I contacted the Police Cyber Crime Unit who took the details, and told me to share the details with my Phone Company and Offcom. The Police say that a crime will be deemed to have been committed if the monitoring of my phone line or internet shows up any further anomalies and that will be pre-determined by themselves and that no time limit can be passed to myself. I understand that just in case a crime is being committed is the reason why they won’t tell me the limit.
TV programmes and characters from the programme I had just watched were appearing in the game. Music I was listening to while playing WOT was appearing in the game etc…
I am a great believer that once is an accident, twice is a coincidence and three times is deliberate. I believe that paranoia is based on gut instinct and that is a very powerful instinct that usually proves correct for most of us most of the time.
Quite often people are reluctant to suggest as I have said for fear of ridicule but if this happening to 1 person you better believe it is happening to others. Ultimately someone is messing around and I am hoping that you Guys can share your experience if you to have noticed the same thing happening to yourself.

i think wargaming may use bots to pad out online users etc. lol if it is wargaming it will truly be the end of them .
19.01.2017 at 19:32 #111719A_TrollMemberJust curious…. why would anyone say “Commander Phil” in a conversation? Aaaaaaand……. wtf is fluff chucking? (Now I can’t sleep).

So it narrows it down or not but hey that is not my concern anymore.
I personally cannot agree nor condone what WG does with its “Gold” rounds but HEY!! Blame everyone but yourself.

20.01.2017 at 09:43 #111724hansMemberi will watch out for that if that happens to me. it really strange. i think the most people wont believe you. but maybe it is just the way for wargaming to get some info of players. or to fill there servers with enough players to detect cheaters

Sorry Soulza I am not meaning to be cryptic as I thought I had explained it.
My conversations with my family and friends have had part of it used as player names in WOT.
Commander Phil is a nickname of a friend that we address him by. Fluff chucking is what my friends and I call call fly fishing. Meowfood is simply cat food.
So as you can see, somehow WG is getting their hands on personal info but I was asking if you guys have been experiencing anything like this as it cannot just be me.
@Kup, I have ran all the adware scans, anti virus etc and it is showing as clean. But that won’t show anything if my phone is being targetted. Looks like I need anti virus for the mobile phone.
20.01.2017 at 15:48 #111727soulzaParticipantahh its through phone convos ?
silly question but did you tie your mobile phone to wargaming security ?
get 300 gold etc.

25.01.2017 at 12:36 #111730BobCMemberSoulza, regarding the phone tie-in, well that was my first port of call. WG informed me that there is NO landline nor mobile phone number from myself that is attached to the account.
Believe it or not I still am truly convinced that is where the tracker lies. But if no -one else suffers from that then it’s back on with my tinfoil hat.
25.01.2017 at 13:34 #111731A_TrollMemberBob, I did a LOT of digging to try and help. Those nicks can’t have been in-game. One played last in May 2012 and another has never played a game. The third has never been registered.

My immediate thought was that maybe one of your friends of family was messing with you and registered a nick as a joke. But….. when you think about it, it’s not easy to get into a random at the same time as someone you know, so that would take some doing. However, if they did try then they would have to register the nick first. They didn’t.
I tried a speech to text generator. CaptainPhill came up as captain fill. Fluff chucking came up as just that and not “Fluff Chucker” as you said the nick was. (However CuntyBollox assures me that it is a common expression). The third name I see no logical connection and I doubt that was based on any form of tracking.
